Holiday Greeting

Welcome to Doug's Journey's.

My website is a tour of sites and sounds with pictures and musical topics to show my interests. I live in a neighborhood known as the "Stockade" in Schenectady N.Y.

This community has a history that played an important role in the American Revolution, with a dramatic story contained on this site.

Some of my pictures show the homes and relics of the time. Above is a picture of a horse hitch, you can see how ornate and practical it is. It's obvious that people took pride in their craft with a dual purpose in mind.

1)  Ballad of Schenectady Massacre

2)  Woodstock 99 review.

3)  Some pictures of one of my guitars

4) Boats on the river

5) Churches of Schenectady

6) The Jug

7) Walk along  the river

8) Sites of the Stockade

9) Fall Pics

10) Fence line

11) Central Park

12) Unknown Guitar: I am trying to figure out this old guitar I came across. Please help me find out what it is.

13) Religious Experience: Tongue Twister by me.

14) Kitty Windows: Here I shot a few pictures of some cats in a window.

15) It's good to be mobile and use  your own fuel, A photo essay. (6/24/01)

16) Visit to the old neighborhood Mt Pleasant. (St. Adalbert's)

17) Know Your Valuables, Collectables and Who to Trust

18) Family Profile In Utopia: Television can be good or a vast wasteland.

19) Local Crime Wave: Miss Demeanor Hits Cohoes.

20) WHEN IT’S ART & WHEN IT’S NART: {Word play for a true story}

21) Suspicion at local Mall: Enough to cook your goose

I am listed on the Stockade Association's website which is the community that I have lived in for many years.

I hope you enjoy what you find here. Please send me some e-mail if you have any questions or suggestions.

I would like to thank Michael Abair for doing all this web page design for me. He edits my pictures and puts them online for me. He formats the pages to the way I want them. Mike has begun to teach me how to do it myself . Take a little time to check out some of his websites.
